About the Role
This position is essential for project management as we approach financial close, overseeing the budget and schedule for assets nearing development completion.
In this role, individuals will gain valuable insights into project development, engineering, and EPC contracting, providing a deep understanding of what it takes to successfully build profitable solar and storage generation facilities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate solar project investment opportunities using traditional economic criteria, such as unlevered and levered returns, while identifying key value drivers impacting the valuation of energy and infrastructure projects.
- Act as the primary coordinator for deal execution, leading weekly cross-functional meetings for assigned projects, focusing on maintaining timelines and assessing risks that could affect project progress or economics.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and materials for key stakeholders, including executive management and external financing partners.
- Oversee project diligence and transaction timelines, both internally and externally.
- Collaborate with Capital Markets and M&A teams to explore and execute new corporate financing and project M&A opportunities.
- Work both independently and alongside various internal experts to address substantive issues related to tax, accounting, financing, structuring, and legal matters in solar and battery storage project finance.
Qualifications
- BA / BS degree; MBA or relevant graduate degrees are a plus.
- 3-6 years of finance experience, with significant time spent in the renewable energy sector (experience in investment banking, project finance, or corporate M&A is advantageous).
- Knowledge of tax equity structures commonly used in the solar industry.
- Strong skills in credit analysis, financial modeling, and quantitative analysis.
- Self-driven, with a high degree of initiative and accountability.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and locations throughout the U.S.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to defend decisions and positions confidently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Unwavering ethics and integrity.
- A desire to contribute both professionally and personally to a motivated team focused on making solar and storage more competitive by optimizing capital structures, while enjoying the process.
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities, aiming for advancement to a Director-level position at a leading solar and storage developer upon demonstrating mastery of the role.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $135,000, plus bonuses and benefits. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
