Jamie Benway with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Portland, Oregon. As a Staff Accountant, you will be undertaking a variety of accounting responsibilities that will require a strong understanding of General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, and NetSuite.
Responsibilities :
- Process and record financial transactions in the general ledger
- Prepare and post journal entries ensuring accurate transaction records
- Perform month-end close activities including account reconciliations and analysis
- Utilize NetSuite for various accounting functions and procedures
- Collaborate with team members to improve and streamline accounting processes
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Ensure all financial data adheres to current tax laws and regulations
- Conduct regular ledger maintenance to ensure accuracy
- Analyze financial data to support business decision-making
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.

- Proficiency in General Ledger management
- Demonstrated ability in creating and maintaining journal entries
- Experience in executing month end close processes
- Familiarity with NetSuite accounting software
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of applicable accounting laws and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Prior experience in a similar role is a plus.
