Florida Construction Connection (FLCC) is conducting a search for a go-getter Assistant Project Manager to join a leading South Florida builder known for delivering some of the region’s most high-profile institutional, transportation, and commercial projects.

This is not a back-office role, you’ll be in the field, working shoulder-to-shoulder with senior leadership, subcontractors, and owners on projects that make a real impact in the Miami-Dade skyline and community.

The company is known for landmark projects. As an Assistant PM, you’ll get hands-on experience managing major scopes, coordinating daily field activities, and learning from senior leaders who have built a culture of accountability and results.

YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Assist the Project Manager in all phases : budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, procurement, and closeout.
  • Run daily field coordination : inspections, quality control, safety, and documentation.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and progress tracking.
  • Work closely with design, estimating, and field teams to hit project milestones.
  • Take ownership of smaller scopes / trades, solve problems before they escalate, and be proactive on site.
  • Take on additional responsibilities with time toward a path to Project Manager

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

  • 2–5 years’ experience in commercial or institutional construction (APM, PE, or field supervision background).
  • Strong understanding of contracts, submittals, schedules, and quality control.
  • Excellent communication skills with subcontractors, owners, and design teams.
  • Proficiency in Procore, P6 and / or similar construction software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Self-starter attitude—you’re hungry to learn, grow, and take on responsibility.
