- Reason for Coverage : Current Surgeon will be out of the country during these dates
- Practice Setting : Hospital Based General Surgery and Level 3 Trauma Center Coverage at a Community Hospital. May receive referrals or questions from APP that is working in the Office Practice regarding patients.
Primary responsibility is Hospital General Surgery and Level 3 Trauma call coverage, general surgery consult coverage at the hospital .
- Call Ratio : 15-20 / 24 hours
- Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day : 10
- Trauma Level / Designation : Level 3
- Annual ER Volume : 27,000
- Documentation System / EMR : Epic
- Number of Operating Rooms : 10
- Number of General Surgeons in Practice : 1
- Description of OR Staff : Experienced well trained OR staff. Skilled at Robotic Surgical Procedures as well as all General Surgery Procedures.
- Patient Age Demographic : Primarily Adults age 18 and over. Pediatric and Adolescent patients are sent to the Children’s hospital that is near by.
Procedures Required :
General Surgical Cases ADULT, General Surgical Cases TRAUMA, Central Line Insertion, PA Catheter Placement, Chest Tube Insertion, Vascular Access Devices, Cholecystectomy, Hernioplasty
Additional Procedures Required or Preferred :
appendectomies, bowel resections, trauma care for perforations or lacerations of internal organs.
