About Open Road Integrated Media

Open Road Integrated Media is the country’s leading digital destination for book lovers. The platform creates a rich experience for discovering new reads and connecting with a larger community.

The company’s portfolio of digital content brands is laser-focused on expanding its reach and cultivating a strong sense of loyalty with consumers across devices, content verticals and around the world.

About The Lineup

To say we’re fans of everything creepy would be an understatement. Whether it’s the latest Stephen King book, a collection of under-the-radar horror movies, or an unsolved case that’s still haunting us 50 years later, we’re dying to share our latest dark obsessions with fellow enthusiasts.

On The Lineup, we unearth historical crimes, real ghost stories, the scariest book recommendations and more. We keep our finger on the pulse of all things creepy, macabre, and unsettling and we share our finds with a wonderful community of like-minded freaky fiends.

Summary

Calling all horror fans, true crime junkies, and paranormal aficionados! We’re looking for ambitious social media interns to drive and execute The Lineup’s robust growth strategy on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok in collaboration with our content team.

The successful candidate is obsessed with social media and understands how content is consumed on both established and emerging platforms.

Creative ability, analytical thinking skills, a collaborative mindset, and an entrepreneurial spirit are key to succeeding in this role.

The individual in this role will work within the pre-established brand identity of The Lineup’s existing social media without needing to reinvent the wheel.

However, within those brand parameters, there will be opportunities to try new things and create compelling content that drives engagement and community involvement.

This social media intern will work with the lead editors of Open Road’s content brands The Lineup. Please note, your personal interest in and past experience with the primary topics covered on TLU (horror, true crime, paranormal, etc) within your cover letter.

This position is part-time (16 hours per week), unpaid and for-credit only. The intern must be eligible to receive academic credit for this internship.
