The Gainey Agency is seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Life Insurance Agent to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. The successful candidate will contribute to the growth of the agency by developing and maintaining client relationships, expanding the membership base, and promoting our life insurance and annuity product portfolio. This role requires professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to serving the needs of clients and the community.

Key responsibilities :

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and follow-up on leads.
  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients, providing guidance on life insurance and related financial protection products.
  • Create and execute weekly work plans that include outreach, appointment scheduling, and client consultations.
  • Prepare and submit regular activity and results reports to agency leadership.
  • Service and manage existing member accounts, ensuring timely policy reviews and updates.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to maintain product knowledge and compliance with industry standards.

Required qualifications and attributes :

  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivation, and a competitive drive to meet performance goals.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Positive, professional demeanor and an outgoing personality suited to relationship-building roles.
  • Proven involvement or connections within the local community is preferred.
  • Integrity, honesty, and adherence to professional and ethical standards.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt; prior experience in life insurance is advantageous but not required.
  • Ability or willingness to obtain and maintain any state-required insurance licenses and comply with regulatory requirements.
