Job Title : Industrial Carpenter

Job Summary : An industrial carpenter is responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structural frameworks, fixtures, and components within industrial facilities.

They work with a variety of materials, including wood, metal, and composite materials, to build and maintain industrial structures according to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards.

Responsibilities :

Framework Construction : Construct and assemble structural frameworks, including walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs, using wood, steel, or other structural materials.

Ensure that frameworks are sturdy, level, and properly aligned according to building plans and specifications.

Installation of Fixtures and Components : Install doors, windows, trim, molding, and other fixtures and components within industrial buildings.

Ensure proper fit, alignment, and functionality of installed items.

Formwork Construction : Build formwork for concrete pours, including walls, columns, beams, and slabs, using lumber, plywood, or metal panels.

Erect and dismantle formwork according to construction schedules and project requirements.

Cabinetry and Millwork : Fabricate and install custom cabinetry, countertops, shelving, and millwork for industrial facilities.

Cut, shape, and assemble wood or composite materials to create functional and aesthetic fixtures.

Structural Repairs : Repair and reinforce structural components and fixtures as needed, including damaged or deteriorated wood, metal, or concrete elements.

Replace or repair damaged framing, siding, roofing, or flooring to maintain structural integrity.

• Safety Compliance : Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and ensure that work areas are kept clean and hazard-free.
• Blueprint Interpretation : Interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements and dimensions.

Follow detailed instructions and measurements to ensure accurate and precise construction.

Material Handling : Select and procure appropriate materials for construction projects, including lumber, fasteners, hardware, and other building supplies.

Handle and store materials safely and efficiently on construction sites.

Qualifications :

• Experience : Previous experience as a carpenter in industrial construction or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with industrial construction techniques, materials, and equipment is advantageous.
• Skills : Strong carpentry skills, including framing, finishing, and cabinetry, are essential. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment is required.
