Nyla Technology Solutions leads the modernization of a critical data system within the US Federal Government through the development of data science, data engineering, and data service solutions.

This data system manages tens of thousands of current and historical documents throughout a defined document lifecycle and Nyla has been tasked with providing add-on capability to this system for improved data dissemination, document creation, text processing, automated tagging, and enhanced document search.

Nyla performs the full scope of technical product delivery, from requirements gathering through software engineering, deployment, and end-user training.

Nyla engineers actively perform CI / CD within DoD DevSecOps platforms to deliver automated data sharing, transformation, and analysis services in both unclassified and classified environments.

Location : Position is 80% onsite, 20% remote in Crystal City, VA

Requirements :

Apply data science methods to investigate data quality of critical DOD data systems and develop proof of concept machine learning algorithms for data imputation

Engineer, deploy, and monitor algorithms to train and evaluate models in an operational environment (MLOps)

Leverage DevSevOps platforms and CI / CD best practices to build and iterate upon custom software solutions delivered on DoD cloud platforms

Active Top Secret Security Clearance

Required Skills

BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field

Minimum of 5 years experience in data science and machine learning, or related fields, with a proven track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions.

Strong programming skills (Python, R, SQL, Bash, etc.)

Knowledge of common machine learning libraries (Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, Keras, etc.).

Proficiency in training and evaluating neural network models learning for classification.

Strong experience performing text analytics and natural language processing.

Proficiency in using cloud platforms for data science use cases (AWS, Azure, GCE, etc.).

Experience deploying and monitoring ML models in a production environment

Experience using CI / CD workflow automation tools such as Jenkins or GitLab Pipelines

Ability to breakdown problem sets related to data quality and investigate viability of machine learning to improve data system and business operations

Experience with anomaly detection to monitor business process operations

Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information to both technical SMEs and business leaders.

Capable of working in a highly collaborative team environment and pursuing technical development tasks independently.
