General Description :

The Senior Manager or Associate Director, Market Access Operations, will be the primary point of contact for Market Access stakeholders (Contracting Strategy Team, Payer Team, Physician Networks & Strategic Accounts Team, Market Access Marketing team) for data tool and ad-hoc analytical requests.

This role will focus on driving continuous business process improvements and developing tool roadmaps based on business priorities.

This position will report to the Associate Director, NA Commercial & Medical Affairs Operations and will partner closely with the commercial analytics team to identify innovative ways of provisioning data and key business insights for Market Access.

Additionally, this role is responsible for managing several data management solutions / processes, including affiliations, Payer master, GPO master, and contract master, to support Market Access analytics and broader commercial analytics.

This role will require Tuesday and Wednesdays in the BeiGene San Mateo office, and the other 3 days can be remote from home.

Essential Functions of the job :

Overarching :

Establish robust relationship with Market Access stakeholders to ensure alignment with their business priorities and facilitate discussions that lead to optimal solutions.

Font-line Support :

  • Respond to Market Access field team’s questions on data tools and ad-hoc requests in a timely manner.
  • Investigate and resolve data issues in a timely manner.

Operational Reporting :

  • Produce QBR decks for the Physicians Networks and Payer team, and provide monthly tracking for other Market Access specific data assets.
  • Conduct pre and post deal ROI analysis to support payer and provider contracting strategies.
  • Summarize and present the insights to the Market Access leadership team.

Data Operations :

  • Manage affiliation data to achieve continuous improvement and provide guidance to the data stewardship team on ongoing affiliation investigations.
  • Manage the mastering of Payer hierarchy and GPO roster.
  • Maintain contract master tables by collaborating with the contracting operations team to load new payer / provider contracts into the data warehouse regularly.
  • Onboard new Market Access data assets and work with the data infrastructure team to provision data for analytical purposes.
  • Design data quality reports related to Market Access data assets and work with the data management team to implement these DQM reports.

Market Access Tools Management :

  • Work Business Analytics team to identify ongoing analytical needs and streamline these insights in existing reporting platforms
  • Work with Market Access team to identify capability gaps, and co-develop tool roadmap that best meet business needs
  • Analyze data to design scalable data model for market access field reporting platform and work with the infrastructure to implement and test the underlying data models
  • Create business requirements documents, technical design documents, mapping documents, data flow diagrams, user manual and report specifications.

Education :

  • Bachelors degree in science, engineering or related analytical field is required.
  • Masters in science, engineering or related analytical field is preferred.

Qualifications :

For the Senior Manager level, we require :

BA or BS with 7 plus years of overall experience or a Masters with 5 plus years of overall experience.

For the Associate Director level, we require :

BA or BS with 8 plus years of overall experience or a Masters with 6 plus years of overall experience.

For both levels, we require :

  • 5 plus years of pharmaceutical industry working in commercial operations or related expertise.
  • 5 plus years of experience in information technology design, implementation, and / or analytics platform (data warehouse, ETL / transformations, data hub) support in the biotech / pharmaceutical industry.
  • Previous Market Access experience required.
  • Strong database / SQL skills to run queries to analyze data and create ad hoc reports is highly preferred.
  • Experience partnering with Market Access and Channel Operations function preferred.
  • Experience with Channel data providers, Specialty Pharmacy data, Specialty Distributor data, Patient Hub data, Data warehouse, and Reporting solutions is a must.
  • Understand the business dynamics across GPOs, IDNs, Health Systems, Academic institutions and help reflect the dynamics in building out Customer Master and Data warehouse to support analytics, KPIs and dashboards.
  • Have a strong understanding of distribution data flow and create a strategic plan for the acquisition of data supplementing the known gaps.
  • Strong data compliance experience with pharmaceutical business knowledge and technical aptitude to define and advance commercial solutions.
  • Excellent written / verbal communication skills and presentation and project management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate needs assessments across the commercial organization, and an ability to deliver a comprehensive solution to those needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a matrixed environment, and an ability to build solid relationships / make connections across the organization.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and solid business acumen with the ability to manage and provision large amounts of data to enable business analysis with a high level of performance and trust.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical problems and solutions to a wide business audience and communicate solution value.
  • Must be able to identify operational weakness and implement corrective action / plan.
  • Proven ability to grow and develop others.

Please note the salary range reflected below is for the Associate Director level. For Sr. Manager candidates, the range will be lower and discussed in the initial interview.

Salary Range : $142,800.00 - $192,800.00 annually

BeiGene is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location.

Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
