Job Summary

This position assists in overseeing the college's finance and administration's daily operations which includes the management of the college's $43 million dollar budget, procurement, campus services, and accounting areas.

This position also serves as the point of contact for all internal and external audit engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees assigned fiscal affairs operations. (50%)
  • Oversees the Bursars Office, the Campus Services Office, and the Accounting Office.
  • Ensures compliance with all college, state, and federal rules and regulations.
  • Directs the preparation and submission of a variety of financial reports. (15%)
  • Prepares and submits the Annual Financial Report, the Budgetary Compliance Report, and POV reports.
  • Oversees the timely submission of all other financial reporting to both internal and external agencies.
  • Directs the maintenance of accounting records. (25%)
  • Oversees and ensures the integrity of the institutions accounting reports.
  • Performs a variety of related duties. (10%)
  • Serves as point-of-contact for internal and external auditors.
  • Performs the duties of the Vice President for Finance and Administration as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree required.
  • Five years or more of related experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

Five or more years of experience within the University System of Georgia system in related roles.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Knowledge of Board of Regents policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of State of Georgia budgetary policies.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of state and national issues related to higher education.
  • Knowledge of budget development and management principles.
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.
  • Skill in the delegation of responsibility and authority.
  • Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs.
  • Skill in decision making and problem solving.
  • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.

Other Information

Salary Range : $90,000 - $110,000

This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt (salaried) staff position and includes a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include :
