RN - Inpatient – Medical Surgical & Short Stay - Part Time

Work Schedule : 60% FTE, 24 hours per week. Evening / Night shift with 1 out of 3 weekend rotation and holiday rotation. Shifts may be 8 and 12 hours length.

• 28-bed unit with a diverse medical / surgical patient population which provides nurses with the ability to utilize their expertise in assessment and intervention.
• Patients may be admitted with an expected short stay post operatively, for a medical condition or until they transition to a specific nursing unit.
• Patients are received from multiple services such as Emergency Department, Operative Services, interhospital transfers and direct admissions from clinics, or patient homes.
• All staff work together to ensure patient's needs are being met in a timely and effective manner with high patient satisfaction results.

Education : Preferred - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Work Experience : Minimum - Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health's Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit / similar unit.

Preferred - Relevant RN Experience Licenses and Certifications : Minimum - Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact.
