The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for leading the development and delivery of strategic initiatives related to business growth of key strategic accounts across all Cornerstone Building Brands’ Surface Solutions product categories.

This role will own the relationship for key customers in one and two step distribution, retail, builder, and contractor channels throughout the business.

This individual will act not only as a high-level sales partner for these customers but also as a strategic adviser to deepen channel relationships and foster mutual value creation.

This role will be calling on the top 20 builders.

This is a remote US based position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Grows existing strategic customers through developing business plans, creating corporate agreements, negotiating prices, and establishing product purchasing menus
  • Identifies and collaborates with key decision makers and influencers to drive value at the executive and regional levels
  • Hosts / joins in-person and virtual quarterly and annual business meetings with customers to define growth strategy and to identify areas of opportunity with Cornerstone Building Brands
  • Accountable to deliver on strategic objectives and projects, as well as drive pull strategies within the sales channel while delivering on KPIs and metrics that ensure the delivery of profitable sales
  • Coordinates with the fields sales team to ensure district and branch level partners are successful in meeting account goals
  • Communicates customer feedback to the team to aid the development of sales strategies and initiatives to support channel growth
  • Continually evolve knowledge of industry and market trends to anticipate customer needs and navigate the competitive landscape to capitalize on opportunities to increase market share
  • Demonstrate our core values and success behaviors in their approach to work and leadership, leading by example with integrity, teamwork, innovation, and safety

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of experience in working with key business accounts
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Solid sales and negotiation acumen
  • Experience in the building materials industry preferred
  • Executive / corporate -level sales expertise
  • Ability to successfully navigate large, complex organizations to drive CBB objectives
  • Knowledge of macro market trends and corresponding customer impact
  • Expert in CBB value proposition and communication
  • Expert account planning and relationship development both virtually and in-person
  • Expert competitor value proposition knowledge for competitive displacement
  • Ability to travel 50%

The US average earnings for this commission-based role is $170K to $180K (base & commission) + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
