About The Position

Must-Have :

Strong neurosurgical experience.

Familiarity with external ventricular drains and post-operative craniotomy care.

Experience with stroke thrombectomy and TNK administration.

Description :

The position requires an ICU Registered Nurse to care for critical patients.

The shifts are 3x12 nights from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30.

The candidate must be comfortable managing a diverse ICU patient population.

Patient ratios are typically 1 : 2 or 1 : 1.

The nurse will provide care for CABG and valve patients, as well as ECMO and LVAD patients.

Neurosurgical patients, including those with external ventricular drains, post-craniotomy patients, and stroke patients, will also be part of the caseload.

Familiarity with ventilators, BiPAP, high-flow devices, and nitric oxide administration is essential.

The nurse should have experience with tracheostomy and laryngectomy patients.

Skills required include administering conscious sedation, monitoring intracranial pressure, starting IVs, and managing pulmonary artery lines.

Interdisciplinary support includes services such as physical therapy and respiratory services.
