Enterprise Comms & MarTech Experiences (ECMX) enables high quality, innovative marketing through marketing campaign consultation & execution;

and developing best-in-class products & processes which modernize the end-to-end marketing ecosystem. Every year, we help our business and marketing partners across the enterprise launch more than 28,000 marketing campaigns worldwide.

The Comms Compliance Review (CCR) team within ECMX is responsible for consulting with marketing content creators, helping them develop effective and compliant advertising, and ultimately reviewing and approving marketing creatives to ensure they conform with all applicable regulations, legal requirements, Brand guidelines and internal policies.

CCR is seeking candidates who will work with a wide group of Marketing business partners to consult on marketing content, launch marketing campaigns, and ensure American Express marketing supports strategic business objectives and meets compliance standards.

Job responsibilities will include helping Marketing partners and their creative agencies develop preapproved Marketing content, working with the General Counsel’s Office (GCO) and Line of Business Compliance Officers (LOBCO) to get marketing copy, disclosures, and guidelines approved, and reviewing / approving final marketing creatives and helping campaigns get to market.

How will you make an impact in this role?

Ensure American Express marketing materials meet all regulatory, legal, Brand and company standards.

Work with Marketing partners to develop compliant yet effective marketing and advertising content.

Be the final reviewer and approver of American Express advertising before it goes to market.

Own critical marketing processes like managing marketing content databases and Digital Asset Managers, creative development committees, creative review processes, operational controls and projects to update marketing content in our marketing channels.

Maintain strong partnerships with Product Management, Marketing, Compliance, GCO, Operational Risk, and other key partners.

Identify and support process improvements to enhance the creative process and to promote agility and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of marketing operations, advertising and / or creative review experience

2+ years in a Compliance, Legal and / or Quality Assurance role

Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications

Extreme attention to detail and organization, with the ability to retain and enforce a complex set of advertising compliance requirements.

Strong leadership skills and strong customer focus with emphasis on consultation and collaboration.

Ability to communicate complex concepts and direction clearly and persuasively, in both written and oral format. Can work with marketing partners to get to yes’ when the initial creative approach doesn’t work.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, take on new responsibilities and prioritize work in a dynamic, deadline intensive environment.

Proven ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with business clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.

Capacity to be agile, open-minded, comfortable, and confident operating in gray space where decisions and accountability rest with you.

Strong work ethic and personal accountability.

Familiarity with consumer banking regulations

Salary Range : $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
