Overview : As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, implementing new technologies, and improving production efficiency while maintaining product quality standards.
You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure the successful execution of manufacturing projects.
Key Responsibilities :
Process Optimization : Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and minimize manufacturing costs.
New Technology Implementation : Evaluate emerging technologies and techniques to streamline production processes, increase throughput, and improve product quality.
Quality Assurance : Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure adherence to product specifications and regulatory standards.
Investigate and resolve quality issues to maintain high product standards.
Equipment Maintenance : Collaborate with maintenance teams to develop preventive maintenance schedules and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
Continuous Improvement : Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to optimize workflow.
Cost Reduction : Analyze manufacturing costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses without compromising product quality.
Implement cost-saving measures through process optimization and efficiency improvements.
Production Support : Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshooting process-related issues, and implementing corrective actions to ensure uninterrupted production.
Documentation : Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, equipment specifications, and quality control procedures.
Update documentation as needed to reflect process changes and improvements.
Qualifications of this position
- Associates or Bachelor of Science degree or related discipline desired (Equivalent education / training / or experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree)
- Experience working in a world-class Lean working environment highly preferred
- Certified on Green Belt Lean Six Sigma
- Knowledge Lean Manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement-based tools and techniques highly preferred
- Ability to interpret 3D Models, schematics and Drawings
- Ability to use statistical and graphical tools such as pareto analysis
- Experience managing complex assemblies’ processes for the following commodities are a must :
- Sheet Metal Fabrication (frames, enclosures, panels etc.) models and drawings.
- Machine Parts models and drawings
- Wire harness schematics and models
- Must possess strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to speak and communicate effectively with various audiences at the operations site level.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals and technical procedures.
- Ability to write reports, general business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to create standard work documents, operational procedures and visual work aids
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from associates, supervisors and managers
