Who We Are Looking For

WebPT is looking for a Lead Site Reliability Engineer with a strong background in full stack engineering, cloud services and experience in site reliability engineering.

The Lead SRE will be responsible for driving stability, resiliency and monitoring enhancement efforts, collaborating with product developers, DBAs, SysOps, DevOps and other teams.

The lead will ensure the product is deployed as per Enterprise Architecture best practices and standards with strong security and observability baked in and work towards continuously enhancing them for stability.

The Lead SRE will advance the tools used by the SRE team for automation and efficiency. The ultimate goal is to continuously improve our products for stability, reliability, robust security, and integrated observability.

What You’ll Be Doing As A Part of Our Team

• Lead the Site Reliability Engineering team and drive stability and resiliency enhancement efforts.
• Collaborate with product developers to ensure designed solutions respond to non-functional requirements including security and maintainability.
• Work with release engineers to confirm that software delivery pipelines are as efficient as possible.
• Build self-service tools for user groups that provide automation and rely on their services, including automatic test result provisioning and statistical visualizations.
• Create services that reduce the amount of work in progress for all parties, allowing developers to focus on feature development.
• Perform functions and on-call duties and develop the systems and software that bolster site reliability and performance.

What You Should Have to Qualify

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, any related fields, or relevant work experience.
• Strong background in software engineering and experience in site reliability engineering.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies.
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ideally, You Would Also Have These

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification (Associate or Professional)..
• Prior work with SaaS / DevOps and / or development teams.
• Previous experience in HIPAA or PCI environments.
