Description
THE POSITION : Under the general supervision of the Principal, the School Office Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the school office, promoting positive public relations for the school, assisting in the enrollment operations.
S / He provides integral administrative support to the overall functioning of a school. His / her duties are integrated into every aspect of the daily operations of the school, supporting students, parents, teachers, and the admin team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
- Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school and Archdiocese of Denver
- Abides by the Confidentiality Policy set forth in the Faculty Handbook
- Act as a role model of professionalism in a Catholic environment.
- Manage School Office operations
- Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all students.
- Attend faculty, administrative, and all other meetings as needed.
- Promote positive public relations for the school by acting as a front-liner for the school
- Support application, enrollment, and registration processes
- Answers phones and responds to visitors in the building
- Communicates effectively with students, parents, and other professionals
- Fills out all forms and reports as required by the State of Colorado and the Archdiocese of Denver
- Supervises students in the office with regard to safety and behavior
- Meets staff development guidelines as set forth by the Archdiocese of Denver and local administration
- Maintains a work schedule that maximizes availability to the school, students and staff
- Works in a team environment and encourages open communication regarding concerns / issues with children, parents and co-workers.
- Ensures that all staff and children are respectful of school property; ensures all school rules are followed
- Additional duties assigned by the principal
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to maintain current CPR and 1st Aid certifications
- Ability to pass Criminal Record Background Clearance with no exemptions
- Maintain good physical health with the ability to perform job duties, lift 30 pounds, move quickly, bend, squat, kneel, sit on floor, reach overhead
- Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members, to accept supervision and to help promote a positive environment
- Excellent verbal communication skills, including clear speech enunciation, and accurate spoken English grammar that can serve as a good model for children who are developing their language skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including ability to present to groups and individuals about the organization’s mission

- Must complete all classes / seminars as directed by Good Shepherd Catholic School and the Archdiocese of Denver
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Required to maintain composure and avoid inappropriate displays of emotion
- Required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, grab, pull, hear, see, and speak on a daily basis
- Required to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding, writing, and dishwashing
- Required to monitor students
- Required to maintain composure and avoid inappropriate displays of anger
