Human Resources Assistant
SUMMARY :
Provide administrative assistance to VP of HR in the areas of HR administration, Recruiting, Benefits Administration and Risk Management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist with benefits administration in the areas of Employee Health Insurance, Dental Plan, 401(k) & Profit Sharing Plan, Life and Disability Insurance.
2. Participate in recruiting efforts via reference checks, ad placement, resume screening.
3. Assist with the distribution of annual HR policy reminders.
4. Maintain secure custody of official records including employment records, Savings & Profit Sharing Plan Documents, etc.
5. Maintenance of OSHA 300 Log assist with gathering of information necessary for completion of each business units’ log including monthly man hours, injury reports, days away, etc.
6. Reporting of injury / vehicle accident reports Become familiar with reporting system.
7. Assist with completion and tracking of Sub-Contractor Safety Questionnaires and Prequals.
QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS :
1. Solid proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
2. Strong attention to detail.
3. Confidentiality a MUST.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
EDUCATION and / or Experience :
1. Associates and / or bachelor’s degree in related field.
2. Previous experience with HR desirable.
3. Construction industry background helpful.
