An opportunity has opened for a Civil Engineer to join a nationally recognized organization with a location in San Antonio, TX.
As the Civil Engineer you will be responsible for the production of construction documents and engineering studies for government, healthcare, educational, and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop comprehensive reports, construction plans, specifications, calculations, equipment selection, and cost estimates for a diverse range of projects.
- Conduct field inspections and testing to verify performance and compliance with plans and specifications, actively participating in feasibility studies and alternative analyses.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to oversee, direct, and supervise projects, ensuring adherence to contractual requirements concerning time, quality, and budget.
Establish project schedules and expectations through direct communication with clients.
- Support the marketing team in nurturing and expanding our client base through a variety of business development initiatives.
- Assist the proposal team in crafting responses to RFP-type proposals, including project descriptions and staff qualifications.
- Work closely with the Program Manager to prepare fee proposals for the division.
- Engage directly with clients and owners to ascertain project-specific requirements.
- Perform essential calculations integral to civil engineering design.
- Demonstrate proficiency in applying relevant building codes, regulations, and client design standards.
Qualifications :
- Registered Professional Engineer license(P.E.) is mandatory or close to completing.
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geo-technical, or Structural Engineering is required.
- Possess 1-2 years of experience in vertical building construction and site development.
- Prior experience in government, healthcare, or higher education projects is highly advantageous.
