Position Details

Position Description

In the summer and fall of 2024, we will have up to three psychology faculty positions available as we open the Center for Behavioral Health and Learning on the campus of UWMC-Northwest.

Positions are at Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor.

Psychologists will have opportunities to deliver care to adult inpatients via individual and group settings, participate in multi-disciplinary teams, contribute to quality improvement projects, and interact with trainees from a variety of different programs.

Clinical faculty hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms.

Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.

The anticipated start date is July 1, 2024. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research / scholarship, and service.

UWMC Center for Behavioral Health and Learning

The University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC), with funding from the Washington State Legislature, is building a new Center for Behavioral Health and Learning on the campus of UWMC-Northwest.

This $250m facility will house 75 psychiatry beds for patients on long-term civil commitment status, a 25-bed geriatric psychiatry unit, 50 medical / surgical beds to serve patients with medical / surgical and behavioral health needs, and a state-of-the-art Neuromodulation Center.

Salary

The base salary range for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S.

Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Additional compensation associated with this position may include temporary salary supplement (TPS), administrative salary supplement (ADS) and / or incentive payments through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan.

The base salary range for a Clinical Assistant Professor position will be $8,500 - $10,417 per month ($102,000 - $125,004 annually).

The base salary range for a Clinical Associate Professor position will be $10,500 - $12,500 per month ($126,000 - $160,008 annually).

A PhD or PsyD, current licensure, and eligibility for a Washington State medical license.
