The Competitive Intelligence Team Local, provides advertising intelligence that yields insights resulting in a marketplace advantage for a major client.
Our goal is to use this data to provide actionable insights that inform strategy and investment.
Individual :
We are looking for a Manager, Competitive Intelligence, to serve as the primary contact for competitive reporting and contextualizing.
The ideal candidate will have a background in strategic planning, an in-depth understanding of the media market, and an expertise in competitive tools.
This person will play a crucial role in our Competitive team, demonstrating strong teamwork, delegation skills, and the ability to extract insights from competitive data.
Responsibilities
Individual :
- Lead the creation of innovative reports, ensuring they are tailored to our clients' unique business needs.
- Present and competently defend data analysis on a regular basis.
- Proficiently use Excel and PowerPoint and demonstrate a willingness to learn new software and innovate with existing tools.
- Showcase strong writing and public speaking skills, effectively conveying insights and recommendations.
- Work independently and collaboratively, adapting to the needs of the team.
- Research, interpret, and evaluate marketing and research data to develop impactful media objectives and strategies.
Organizational :
- Write and present research analysis and understand media plans.
- Communicate with clients, and other agency departments.
- Foster internal / agency communications and relationships.
Team :
- Train competitive associates in a variety of required systems and processes.
- Encourage creativity and pro-activity of competitive team.
- Supervise workflow to guarantee timely delivery of projects.
Qualifications
Requirements :
- 3-4 years of experience in media research, planning, or account management.
- Telecom experience not necessary but would be a plus.
- Proficient across all channels (print, TV, radio, interactive, OOH).
- Have solid command of industry research and trends.
- Organized, detail oriented. Expects excellence and accuracy.
- Computer Skills / Software Knowledge : Microsoft Suite, Nielsen, Kantar Software, IMS, Flowchart Software, R / F and Optimization Software, Social Tracking tools, Comscore, Google Analytics
