Our dedicated, expert team at AdventHealth South Overland Park provides excellent care to communities of southeastern Johnson County, with 24 / 7 emergency room services, orthopedic surgery, labor and delivery, advanced imaging center, physical therapy and more.

The role you'll contribute :

The Respiratory Therapist provides direct respiratory care to patients in all areas of the hospital as outlined in Pulmonary Services procedure manual. Is knowledgeable in providing and evaluating the routine as well as critical care modes of respiratory care. Responsible for the effective and optimal administration of modalities based upon assessment and evaluation. Provides recommendations and / or changes to care based on patient's current status.

Respond to emergency situations immediately, perform appropriate patient assessment and intervention and replace emergency supplies in a timely manner,

Demonstrate understanding of Code Blue and Rapid Response procedures.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

Required qualifications :

Associate's Degree

Up to 1 Year of Experience

Kansas Respiratory Therapist License

BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association

NRP within 12 months of hire date

CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist)

Preferred qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree

1 Years of Position-Related Experience

1 Years of NICU experience

NRP certification

2 years clinical experience for new grads acceptable in lieu of 1 year of work experience

RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
