Job Summary and QualificationsWe are seeking a highly-skilled and compassionate RN to deliver exceptional patient care in our 30 bed surgical care unit.
In this role you will provide direct nursing care to patients who are acutely ill and recovering from a wide variety of surgical medical and post-surgical conditions.

Along with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, providers, and patient care support staff, you will create and implement a care plan to meet each patient s needs.
Utilizing computerized documentation systems, you will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.
As a part of the clinical team, you will coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
When dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers, you will maintain cultural and diversity awareness, and much more.
of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).License / Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.
Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.Experience : 1 year of medical surgical experience in an acute care hospital setting REQUIREDShift : Full-time Day & Night shifts available (Rotating Weekends)Additional Info : FT day and night shift available Must have at least 1 year of RN expDescription for Job 2 years of experience required.
Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans. Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications.
Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments. Educates patients on surgical procedures. Records patients medical information and vital signs.
