Job Summary and Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY :

We are seeking an Admissions RN to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to provide pre-admission screenings to provide a complete medical assessment by collecting the medical history of the patient and ensure all necessary forms and insurance obligations have been completed.

You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.

In this role you will :

Demonstrate knowledge and application of the nursing process.

Support, maintain and provide an environment which is supportive of quality patient care through effective use of resources and personnel.

Serve as the advocate for the patient and family with respect to the patient’s right to privacy by protecting confidential information.

Plan and implement patient care and teaching based on a total assessment and the age of the patient.

Evaluate and document patient response; monitor and recognize changes in physiological and psychosocial status; take appropriate action based on assessment of the patient.

Practice, develop and work with bed management to meet the goals of patient placement.

Job Requirements :

Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Required, Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred

Florida RN license and / or approved multistate RN license required

BLS-American Heart Association BLS Provider issued card required

ACLS required

Acute care experience with cardiac monitoring required

HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital is a purpose-guided healthcare provider. We are a four-story, 150,000-square-foot hospital.

We have 70 private beds and a six-bed private ICU. We provide a full range of acute care services including emergency services, inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging, and inpatient and outpatient surgery.

Other services include cardiac catheterization, laboratory, pharmacy, and a full range of support services. Our Emergency Department (ED) is approximately 14,500 square feet.

Our ED consists of 22 private treatment rooms, an EMS entrance, and a helicopter pad.
