Dedicated to helping New York become economically and environmentally sustainable.A Solar Installer will have solar specific experience and complete solar panel installs.
- Solar Installer Duties and Responsibilities : Assemble job components;Layout and assembly of solar modules / array and mounting hardware;
- Mechanical and structural mounting of racking, modules, and electrical equipment;Basic electrical wiring of solar array / system (AC and DC)Ensure proper clean-up of job siteAttend training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety;
Responsible for following the safe work practices for the installation team; andAll other assignments and special projects, as requested by Management.
Qualifications : 1 + year Solar Installation Experience requiredMust be comfortable with being on roofs with pitched surfaces for extended periods of time, cannot have a fear of heightsAbility to lift 50-70 pound ladders, ability to climb ladders / stairsAbility to work in extreme weather (hot and sunny as well as colder temperatures)Clean Driver's license requiredOSHA 10 requiredBenefits : Medical, vision & dental InsuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA)401(K) with up to 6% matchPaid TrainingPaid time off (vacation, sick, bereavement, etc.
