We’re seeking future team members for our Asset Servicing Team with roles located in New York, NY in hybrid positions.

Summer Internship Program

The BNY Summer Internship Program provides high-potential students with a well-rounded, rewarding 10-week internship experience, as well as an inside look into what it is like to work for a global financial services organization that has been innovating and serving clients since 1784.

With projects specifically chosen to both challenge and develop participants, our summer interns will gain valuable real-world experiences while learning to work together in collaborative teams and building a robust network within BNY.

From day one, summer interns are immersed in BNY’s innovative and dynamic company culture as they will receive :

  • Enterprise-led intern orientation program combined with ongoing an executive speaker series and virtual training curriculum designed specifically for summer interns
  • Meaningful and challenging work assignments that deliver learning and skill development through practical work, mentorship, and training
  • Career development and networking support from a host of corporate leaders including internship managers, senior and peer mentors, business stakeholders and a dedicated program manager
  • Exposure to different areas of business throughout the organization
  • Comprehensive professional etiquette and financial services fundamentals training, along with technical and business acumen development

Asset Servicing

Asset Servicing is a foundational business for BNY it attracts increased client and investor attention whilst creating opportunities for other businesses across our organization.

It is comprised of products and services that help our clients (fund managers, banks, insurance companies, etc.) with different parts of their operating models.

The main products and services that we offer our clients include :

Custody : Services to hold, transact, and settle securities and cash to support global investment activities. Some of the core services include Custody and Safekeeping of assets;

Tax and Regulation; and Trust and Depositary

Fund Services : Valuation services and end-investor solutions for retail and institutional funds. Enhanced accounting services to support complex capital-based fund structures.

With 2 of the fastest growing areas with Alternatives Servicing and ETF Servicing.

Middle Office : Implement solutions to help our clients with their end-to-end investment analysis from post-trade execution to and through end stakeholder communication.

Services include Trade Management; Derivatives and Collateral Management; and IBOR

To run and operate each business above, our organization is reliant on a wide range of teams inclusive of : Business Development / Relationship Management, Client Experience, Corporate partners (People Team, Operations, Finance, Technology), etc.

Program Eligibility :

Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with a strong focus on business and technology, with specific emphasis on finance, economics, marketing, communication, and / or data analytics;

however open to all majors with an individual interested in the financial services industry

  • Individuals who will be graduating in December 2025 through June 2026
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
  • Well-rounded experience including demonstrated leadership skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the region where they apply.
