We are seeking an industry leading SATCOM Engineer.
Key Responsibilities :
- Satellite Network Design & Implementation : Contribute to the design and implementation of satellite onboard networking and routing technologies, focusing on network protocols, architecture, algorithms, and coding techniques.
- Network Testing & Analysis : Perform testing and analysis using network simulation and emulation to ensure reliable and efficient network performance.
- Collaboration & Software Reviews : Participate in software reviews with peers and work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, project management, and external stakeholders, to ensure alignment with client needs and project goals.
- Documentation & Compliance : Manage and maintain project documentation, including networking configurations and protocols, ensuring compliance with government standards and regulations.
- Technical Problem Solving : Address technical challenges in network design and implementation, providing innovative solutions that meet project and client requirements.
- Team Collaboration : Contribute to team meetings, strategic planning sessions, and project reviews, playing an active role in the decision-making process.
Must-Have Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in computer programming with a strong focus on network protocols or network design / engineering (e.
g., IPv4, IPv6, IPsec, TCP / UDP sockets, tunneling, MPLS).
- Education : Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in C / C++, Python, and systems programming with an emphasis on networking applications and protocols.
- Network Expertise : Thorough understanding of network design, development, and implementation from concept to completion.
- Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication abilities, particularly in presenting technical network-related information to clients and managers.
- Project Management : Proven decision-making and multitasking skills, with a history of successfully completing projects on time.
- Teamwork : Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Citizenship : U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
