Job Title : Respiratory Therapist - Float
Job Specialty : RRT-NICU / PICU
Job Duration : 18 weeks
Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM)

Experience : Minimum 18 months of recent NICU or PICU experience required. Trauma 1 experience in a children's hospital within the last year required.
License : Indiana State License or compact license required. Must be in hand for start dates within 2-4 weeks, or have started the licensing process for start dates beyond 4 weeks.
Certifications :
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- National Board for Respiratory Care - Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required for those placed in Labor & Delivery
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
Must-Have :
- CoARC-accredited and regionally accredited by CHEA respiratory therapy education completed in-person.
- Willingness to float to NICU, PICU, and Peds units as well as affiliated hospitals.
- Ability to work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract.
- Completed 12-hour orientation.
Job Description :
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care in NICU, PICU, and Pediatric units.
- Adhere to unit shift requirements of 3x12 or 4x12s, Nights, and every other weekend.
- Follow holiday work requirements, working 2 out of the 3 holidays within the contract period.
- Possess or obtain required certifications before starting the assignment.
- Show flexibility in floating requirements, willing to work across multiple related specialties.
- Orientation includes 12 hours of non-billable training.
- Ensure a minimum of 18 months of required experience, especially in trauma 1 children's hospitals.
- Education and experience documentation must meet all specified requirements.
Note : Flu vaccination is required with exemptions allowed for medical or religious reasons. COVID-19 vaccine is not required.
Compliance with travel and local radius policies necessary.
