Job Details
- Minimum Experience : 1 year; 1st Timers are accepted.
- Patient Population : Adults to Geriatrics.
- General Skills and Work Setting Requirements : Telemetry / PCU unit with diagnoses including CHF, MI / Chest pain (pre- and post-cath), Dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), Hypo- / Hypertension, Pleural effusion, Sepsis, PE / DVT / vascular issues.
- Ratio / Census : 1 : 4-5; 36 Rooms with average daily census of 35.
- Unit Systems : Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR.
- Scrub Color : Navy Blue.
- RTO : MAX 7 days.
- Compliance : Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
Job Requirements
Certifications Required : BLS, ACLS, NIH.
Schedule Information
- Weekends : Every other weekend.
- Floating : Yes.
- Call Requirements : None.
- Holidays : If one major holiday falls in his / her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his / her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays.
If three major holidays fall in his / her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
Major Holidays : New Year’s Eve and Day : Sunday, December 31 & Monday, January 1; Memorial Day : Monday, May 27; Independence Day : Thursday, July 4;
Labor Day : Monday, September 2; Thanksgiving / Black Friday : Thursday, November 28 & Friday November 29; Christmas Eve and Day : Sunday, December 24 & Monday, December 25.
