The Azure Cloud Engineers will serve as the principal line of communication for the project team.
The duties and responsibilities of this position are as follows :
- Develop and maintain processes that optimize Microsoft Azure resources;
- Analyze Azure resource performance to identify resource contention and recommend changes or upgrades as needed to ensure optimization;
- Perform Microsoft Entra ID management activities;
- Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and systems documentation;
- Work with data center staff, Client, and users to perform Azure resource deployments, upgrades, and configuration changes;
- Inventory, document, install, and maintain applications on Azure resources and assist users with access;
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Windows server issues with minimal impact on users;
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Linux server issues with minimal impact on users;
- Write PowerShell scripts to be used to monitor server properties and perform Active Directory and Exchange management activities;
- Administer infrastructure security as needed for Client staff and users;
- Research and recommend appropriate technical solutions to meet functional requirements;
- Provide recommendations for possible process improvements within the Department's infrastructure team;
- Create schedules for the development and implementation of specific software systems;
Develop system test plans to ensure software meets design criteria; and
Perform additional Systems Administrator tasks as required by the Department.
Azure Cloud Engineer :
Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Five (5) or more years of Windows server experience;
- Three (3) or more years of Microsoft Azure / Cloud experience;
- Three (3) or more years of Linux server experience;
- Server administration experience with three (3) or more years administering Windows 2016 & newer;
- Five (5) or more years of Active Directory & Domain Name System (DNS) administration experience in an enterprise environment with 1,000 or more users;
Experience writing, testing, and executing PowerShell scripts
Experience working in a virtual server / Cloud environment;
Experience installing, maintaining, and supporting 3rd party applications.
