Accountabilities
As an Engineering Manager, you will :
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 3–5 engineers, conducting regular 1 : 1s, career development sessions, and feedback cycles.
- Foster a psychologically safe, inclusive, and collaborative team culture with clear expectations and success metrics.
- Own project execution, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features aligned with business goals.
- Make technical and architectural decisions while actively contributing code (up to 50% hands-on).
- Drive system reliability, performance, and security improvements, implementing AI tooling and automation to enhance development workflows.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and stakeholders to align engineering solutions with business objectives.
- Track engineering metrics, identify skill gaps, and implement strategies for team efficiency and technical excellence.
- Mentor engineers at various experience levels, promoting experimentation, learning, and innovation.
Requirements
Candidates should have :
7+ years of professional software development experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or management role.Advanced proficiency in React, TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, API design, and data modeling (relational & NoSQL).Proven experience managing high-performing, cross-functional engineering teams in complex, fast-moving environments.Strong mentorship, coaching, and collaboration skills with the ability to balance technical and managerial responsibilities.Experience building and maintaining cloud-native applications, implementing secure coding practices, and ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOC2).Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI / CD pipelines, modern testing frameworks, and AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, RooCode).Bonus : Experience with infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation, Pulumi, Terraform), Docker / Kubernetes, pair programming, or active open-source contributions.Benefits
