Non-CDL Local Delivery Truck Driver

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN DELIVERIES AND DRIVING BOXTRUCK $20.00 / hour Start time between 4 : 00am to 6 : 00am, Average 10to 12 hours daily OT sometimes available avg 8 hrs / week Benefitsafter 31 days, PTO after 60 days Non-CDL to CDL B paid training JOBSUMMARY All drivers run daily routes with frequent stops and arerequired to load packages onto hand trucks and unload product ateach stop on the assigned route in the order they are designated bythe Transportation Department Manager.

The candidate will operatesuccessfully in a cross-dock model picking up a loaded truck from anightly delivery at the assigned loading dock and return the emptytruck back to the assigned lot at the end of the route.

May berequired to assist occasionally with loading-trucks, palletizingproduct, and performing other duties as assigned by Supervisor orManager.

RESPONSIBILITIES Provide technical, customer relations,and personnel management for major programs and projects. Runsroutes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route timesUnload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, andplace in designated customer storage areas.

May includetransporting product down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weatherconditions. Frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs 1-75pounds, up to 100 pounds;

frequently reach up to 72 to stack andunstack pallets and hand cart; constantly bend and twist whileloading and unloading product, and retrieving items from trailer.

Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain propersignatures. Contact management for authorization when discrepanciesare on invoices.

Communicate all errors / returns. Calls in when acustomer does not receive their entire order (shorts) Handles anycustomer complaints professionally Handles company equipmentproperly, follow written driver safety rules, and performs apre-trip inspection.

Perform pre-trip and post-tripresponsibilities in accordance with Department of Transportation(DOT) regulations and Sysco policies and procedures QUALIFICATIONSEducation Degrees / Certificates Minimum Required : High School or GEDor equivalent Experience One-year route delivery experienceor applicable background driving a straight truck Valid CommercialDriver’s License preferred Must be able to read and understandEnglish.

Skills Operate vehicle in a variety of traffic and weatherconditions. Meet or exceed minimum productivity levels establishedby the Company.
