Schedule : 24 hours, Day / Night rotation 7am-7 : 30pm with rotation to 7pm-7 : 30am, Every other weekend, holiday rotation.

Our board-certified emergency physicians, physician assistants, nurses and unit service techs have extensive experience in emergency care.
We have a 21-bed unit and staffing ratios for nursing are 4 to 1. We stagger our nursing shifts throughout the day to cover the highest volume times with the most staff.
We care for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients, and work as a team to provide the best possible treatment.
The Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our new patient care model has been designed to provide high-quality, efficient care, and to reduce unnecessary wait times.
Diagnostic X-ray, CT scan and ultrasound services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and MRI is available for most of the day, seven days a week.
Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital is a Primary Stroke Center and are in process of initiating a TeleStroke Program in collaboration with BWH and MGH.

- BSN required. - Massachusetts Registered Nurse License required. - BLS required - Must obtain ACLS prior to end of orientation and may not practice independently without ACLS - PALS preferred- Newly licensed nurse must obtain ACLS and PALS within first six (6) months of employment - ED experience strongly preferred.
- 2 years’ telemetry experience preferred. - Adheres to all I.C.A.R.E. standards. - Must show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients.
- Demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities. - Ability to function under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must demonstrate effective skills in applying hospital standards in area of service, team work, communication, respect for others, and time / priority management.
