Visa U.S.A. Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Software Test Engineer - Sr. Consultant level (multiple openings) in Ashburn, VA to
- Serve as the primary testing representative on cross functional project teams delivering. Impact assessment to current testing processes and policies.
- Negotiate on behalf of the testing team for tools, training, and support commitments.
- Develop and deliver training to global testing team. Develop / Maintain transaction and automation scripts. Develop / maintain clear testing project documentation.
- Function as a global SME for assigned areas of expertise including.
- Collaborate with developers and QA leads to improve testability, automation, and tools. Identify and troubleshoot system issues working with functional / development as required.
- Provide ongoing guidance and knowledge to less tenured Global Client Testing (GCT) employees.
- Coordinate and collaborate with a globally distributed team.
- Travel required.
- Position reports to the Ashburn, Virginia office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field, followed by 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Software Test Engineer-related occupation.
- MVS, VIP, RSI, and CORE / Config
- ISO 8583 messaging
- Reading logprints and troubleshooting 01xx / 02xx and other financial messages
- API messages such as splunk logs
- Payment testing simulators such as VTS-VIP.

Worksite : Ashburn, VA
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership / site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Travel Requirements : Travel is required.
Mental / Physical Requirements : This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY : The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $135,054.00 USD to $191,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable).
Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
