Medical Assistant II - UI Health Care Cedar Rapids OBGYN Clinic 100%
The University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a patient centered 100% (40 hours a week) Medical Assistant II to work at our UICC Obstetrics and gynecology (OBGYN), Cedar Rapids . This position will mainly support our Cedar Rapids OBGYN Clinic but could float to other patient specialties / clinic locations including but not limited to : Specialty / Outreach, Family Medicine, and / or Pediatrics.

Summary :
Under direct supervision of LIP (licensed independent practitioner), RN (registered nurse), NM / ANM (nurse manager / assistant nurse manager) or other licensed designee, functions as a member of the patient care team. Performs technical, patient care and related clerical functions in the urgent care setting by coordinating all elements of the patient visit.

Percent of Time : 100% (40 hours per week)
Schedule : Variable hours, Monday through Friday, between 7 : 30 AM and 5 : 30 PM, with 8-hour shifts. Standard clinic hours are 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM. No weekends, on call time, or holidays required.
Location : Cedar Rapids, IA (or surround clinics based on clinical need or hours)
Salary : $40,903.92 - $60,760.8 (at 100% time) / Hourly : $19.59 - $29.10 (based on years of experience)
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Certification OR registration as a Medical Assistant OR completion of a recognized one-year Medical Assistant Program, OR completion of a health care profession program with a curriculum incorporating elements of a Medical Assistant program including but not limited to pathophysiology, medical terminology, basic pharmacology and medication administration including dose calculation.
