Position Title : Truck Driver 5Pay Rate : $27.14 / hrCategory / Shift : Hourly Full-Time (5 : 30 am 2 : 00 pm, Monday Friday)Physical Location : 2015 Country Club Drive, Carrollton, TX 75006The Job You Will Perform : Safely operatea tractor-trailer in accordance with Company, Federal, State and Local laws and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (DOT) regulationsComplete local deliveries while providing prompt service to customers on scheduled routes in an error-free mannerConductpre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe working conditions of equipmentWork closely with Dispatcher to determine the best strategies to improve processesMaintain a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards, including cleaning and trash removal from cab of truckPerform other duties as assignedThe Skills You Will Bring : Valid CDL Class A license (REQUIRED)Ability to operate a standard transmissionMust be 21 years of ageMust have 2 to 3 years of verifiable driving experienceMust be authorized to work in the United StatesMust be able to read, speak and write enough English to converse with the general public, read signs and signals, respond to official inquiries and make entries on reports and recordsClean DMV / MVR recordCurrent DOT Medical cardAir Brakes CertificationStrong customer service and communication skillsPride in reliability and working with a teamMust pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and / or alcohol tests, and criminal background checkMust be familiar with state motor vehicle laws and DOT rules and regulationsMust understand Van / truck specifications and account needs / detailsMust be able to operate tractor trailers and mobile lifts (Skid Steer) to run bale route pick up behind customer locationsMust have flatbed experience and Forklift / MOFFETT Truck mounted forklift experienceMust be trained and qualified to operate a Skid Steer / drop deck trailerCompletes required routing through the use of all approved transportation vehicles (Box Van, Roll On-Roll Off, TTFU, Semi)Must be familiar with cargo loading procedures to assure proper distribution, location and securityMust be able to check truck’s equipment and supplies to assure road worthinessMust be able to push or pull a loaded pallet jack and / or hand truck with a minimum load of 70 poundsMust be able to drive in a wide range of environmental conditions, including, but not limited to, rain, wind, snow, freezing temperatures, hot weather, etc.
