About The Position
Job Title : Radiographer II Job Specialty : Radiography Job Duration : 14 weeks Shift : Days, 5x8 Hr shifts Guaranteed Hours : 40.
00 per week Experience : Preferred : One (1) year full-time experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technology professional in the specialty required by the hiring department.
License : ARRT Registered Certifications : Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association Must-Have : - ARRT, ARDMS, and / or CCI credentials in the cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty required by the hiring department must be current upon hire or advancement.
- English proficiency (speak, read, write) Job Description : - Perform advanced level professional work in exposing and processing radiographic images and fluoroscopy examinations.
- Operate standard and portable radiology equipment for radiographic examinations and fluoroscopy studies, including intravenous pyelography, cystography, gastrointestinal series, and body section radiography.
- Assist physicians and perform specialized imaging procedures. - Troubleshoot and resolve problems regarding equipment and / or film output.
- Act as a resource and preceptor for other radiographers and / or students. - Participate in training programs to enhance radiology skills and become proficient in producing images of a patient’s body in computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, or special procedures.
- Maintain records, inventory, and equipment for the area of primary responsibility. - Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills : - Knowledge of diagnostic radiography techniques. - Understanding of the operation and maintenance of radiographic equipment.
- Ability to prioritize assignments and assess, treat, and care for patients of varying ages. - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical information effectively.
- Proficient computer skills. Education : - Associate degree or higher preferred. - Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program with emphasis in a primary cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty as defined by ARDMS, ARRT, and / or CCI.
