The Licensed Practical Nurse provides an atmosphere that supports our mission : To Care, To Heal, To Educate. This position contributes to the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing through the application of nursing skills.
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care to individuals and groups requiring the application of basic knowledge of the biological physical behavioral, social and nursing g sciences at the direction of a licensed physician, dentist, podiatrist, optometrist, chiropractor or registered nurse and works collaboratively with other members including patient / family to achieve optimal outcomes.
The incumbent has access to confidential patient information and makes decisions independently and in collaboration with the Staff Nurse, RN / Physician.
Position Summary for Licensed Practical Nurse : The Licensed Practical Nurse provides professional nursing care through the application of nursing skills and processes to assigned patients.
This individual provides direct patient care and works collaboratively with other members of the care team to achieve optimal patient care.
This incumbent has access to confidential patient information, provides direct patient care, has the authority to make independent decisions within scope of practice, and functions clinically under the direct supervision of the physician.
This incumbent also reports to the clinic manager or designee for non-clinical functions.
Education : Graduate of an accredited program in Practical Nursing.
Certifications, Credentials & Licenses : LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Ohio required
Experience : experience in a similar capacity 1-2 years preferred. Medical Office experience
