GLG’s Events Team is seeking a Senior Associate to create and moderate roundtables, seminars, and webinars designed to engage GLG’s financial services clients of all investment strategies.
This role involves being able to identify thematic investment analysis trends and build compelling professional development programs.
You will be responsible for building relationships with C-level executives, subject matter experts / outside consultants, and internal partners to create bespoke training programs and events catering to our investor audience.
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :
- Develop understanding of financial services investment strategies and learn skillsets that will drive success in client roles across seniority
- Connect the dots between client priorities, investment strategy execution, and market trends to build events based on these topics
- Search for, vet, and maintain relationships with experienced speakers and subject matter experts / consultants across topics of interest to our clients to interview on pertinent topics in different event formats
- Recruit Network Members (subject matter experts) for fresh perspectives in programming
- Demonstrate sound editorial judgement, including selecting event topics and speakers to curate conversations that clients find relevant and compelling
- Execute and moderate events and ensure all events meet GLG’s quality standards
- Cultivate communities of likeminded client event users around common areas of interest, and teach others to do the same
- Draft compelling marketing materials to highlight the interviewee and subject matter to be utilized both internally to business development / client service teams and directly to GLG clients
- Moderate and host virtual and in-person events between Network Member experts and GLG clients
- Support team efforts to collaborate with Client Solutions, Business Development, and other internal teams to drive value for financial services clients
- Help team efforts to add value as subject matter experts across GLG
An ideal candidate will have the following attributes :
At least 1 year of related work experience in financial services research or content focused on public and / or private markets.
Also open to relevant professional development focused curation / facilitation experience.
- A strong editorial point of view based on experience with how investors work and think
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in joining a dynamic, growing events business
- Must be able to collaborate across teams, exert influence and work within an organization
- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit
- Must be organized and adaptable

Compensation : GLG is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
The anticipated hiring base salary range for this role is :
$65,600 $72,000 USD
