Position Summary :

Performs a variety of warehousing duties including entering receiving information into the system, picking, packing and distribute raw materials which require an understanding of the organizations warehouse layout and relevant policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions :

Verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records.

Checking for damaged goods.

Insuring those goods are appropriately identified to receive and prescribed storage locations.

Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials.

Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.

Picking raw material glass according to schedule and pick tickets.

May operate a manually controlled electric or liquid propane gas powered forklift to transport goods and materials of all kinds within a warehouse, or in loading and unloading transportation vehicles.

Store and maintain office files.

Cleaning, sweeping, and picking up the trash at the desk area.

Dependable attendance.

Effectively work with others.

Additional responsibilities and tasks as defined by the Receiving Warehouse Supervisor.

Required Skills and Experience :

• Must be proficient in English, possessing strong written and oral communication skills
• Must demonstrate good time management and organizational skills
• General Experience with computers and Microsoft Office (preferable)
• Ability to lift, push, move up to 75 lbs. individually
• Ability to work and think independently within a team
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide two-digit numbers and 10s and 100s
• Standing and / or walking for 8-10 hours a day
• Performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions
• Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and turning
• Climbing stairs and / or ladders and working in elevated areas
• Availability to work OT as required during the week and on weekends

Duties can be learned on-the-job in a short period of time

Educational and Professional Licensing or Certification Requirements :

High School Diploma or equivalent

Valid Forklift Operator license (preferred)

Microsoft Office (preferable)

Working Environment :

Work performed in a manufacturing floor environment or technical shop space

Exposure to various mechanical operations / prolonged operation of large equipment

Exposure to fork truck / industrial vehicle traffic

Potential for seasonal temperature variances

Low to High levels of noise and dust

Must possess the ability to move about the plant floor and stand for extended

periods

Routine bending, and lifting

In select technical roles, for which there is specialized training provided, there

may be occasional exposure to electricity / electrical components and hot-work
