A multi-discipline engineering firm with over 50 years in business is looking for an ElectricalEngineer for their Madison team! This position may be worked remotely.
Responsibilities :
- Workwith a multi-disciplined team of Engineering and Architecture professionals
- Buildingprojects include industrial, mining, rail, education, government, aviation, andmunicipal markets
- Implementelectrical engineering portion of projects including development of site,power, lighting, signal plans, one-lines, panel board, conduit / cable, equipmentschedules, and detail drawings
- Assistwith construction administration (responding to contractor questions, showdrawing review, and observations)
Requirements :
- Bachelor’sDegree in Electrical Engineering
- 4+years of progressive experience in power, lighting, and signal system design forcommercial / industrial facilities
- PELicense or ability to obtain within 12-18 months
- Experiencewith basic layout / design of electrical distribution equipment (panel boards,transformers, lighting, fire alarm, security and data)
- Previousdesign experience with 208 / 120 and 480 / 277 volt systems
- Basicknowledge of National Electrical Code
- Strongworking knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Basicexperience / knowledge associated with Mechanical, Civil, Structural, andArchitectural disciplines
- Ability to travel asneeded (up to 10%) for team meetings, client consultations, and siteinspections / visits
- Previous experience withbusiness development (scoping for proposals, fee estimates, and interviewparticipation for electrical design)
- Previousexperience with private owner underground / overhead medium voltage ( sitepower distribution preferred
- Previousexperience with industrial power system designs for motor and process equipmentcontrol including motor control full voltage, soft start, and variablefrequency drives preferred
