Senior Data Engineer - 6 Month Contract - Hybrid, Seattle Washington - W2 ONLY, NO C2C or OPT EAD
Seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a dynamic team. This role involves building foundational datasets from clickstream and quality of service telemetry data to support engineering, analytics, and operational teams.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of data engineering with large data pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving and Python programming skills.
- Basic understanding of AWS (e.g., S3).
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience with Spark and Airflow.
- Proficiency in scripting languages.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and expand data pipelines in Python / Spark.
- Design and code shared libraries in Scala and Python.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers.
- Develop standards for pipeline configurations.
- Ensure high operational efficiency and dataset quality.
- Participate in agile / scrum ceremonies.
- Engage with customers to prioritize platform improvements.
- Maintain detailed documentation for data quality and governance.
