Job Description :
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team in Franktown, CO. The ideal candidate will work closely with students with diverse learning needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes academic success and personal growth.
Educational Requirements :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Colorado teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and modify instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to support student learning.
- Create and maintain a positive and structured classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in various educational settings.
Certifications :
- Valid Colorado Educator License with Special Education endorsement.
- Additional certifications in specific areas of special education are a plus.
Key Qualifications :
- Strong knowledge of teaching strategies for students with disabilities.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive teaching methods is preferred.
