Position Details :
- Caseload Size : Average of 9 students (Maximum of 10)
- Student Age Range : Grades 2-6
- Classroom Setting : Self-contained special education
- Para Support : 2 paraprofessionals
- Hours Per Week : Full-time, 7 : 45 AM - 3 : 45 PM
- Contract Duration : August 5th - May 22nd
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plansfor students with special needs.
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals to provide tailored support and interventions.
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
- Participate in professional development and stay current with best practices in special education.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid state certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students in a self-contained classroom setting preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Dedication to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
