Position Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic and well-connected Community Specialist in the LA fitness scene to help grow and engage our vibrant SweatPals community.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about fitness, persistent in outreach, and skilled at building relationships that foster a thriving community.

While deep connections within the LA fitness community are strongly preferred, a genuine passion for fitness and community engagement is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Actively engage with and onboard new fitness communities in LA, both online and in-person.
  • Attend fitness events regularly and represent SweatPals within the local fitness community.
  • Support fitness and wellness solopreneurs in growing their presence on the SweatPals platform.
  • Organize and host engaging community events, both online and in-person.
  • Be persistent in pitching SweatPals to new contacts and building partnerships with local fitness businesses.
  • Monitor community trends and conversations to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Partnerships teams to drive growth and improve user engagement.

Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of experience in community management, customer success, sales, business development, or a related role.
  • Strong, deep connections in the LA fitness community are highly preferred.
  • Active involvement in the LA fitness scene, attending classes or events regularly.
  • Confidence in pitching ideas and building relationships in-person.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in social media and community-building tools.
  • Event coordination experience is a strong plus.
