beds / procedures : 13 patient care rooms and 4 vertical chairs for lower acuity patients

Patient ratio : 4 : 1, variable up or down based on patient acuity

Does RN need to know how to read tele strips? Yes

Common equipment used : Alaris IV pumps, Hamilton ventilators, Epic documentation system

Does RN need to be able to titrate medication? Yes

Common medications given : Unknown. Should be comfortable administering a wide variety of common medication classes, as well as administering IV medications such as antibiotics, insulin, and vasoactive drips.

Certifications required (ACLS, BLS, NIH, TORBSST, PALS, Stable, TNCC etc) : ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH

• Other skills needed? : Should be capable of caring for pediatric patients, overdose, initial Stroke and STEMI care, lab value interpretation, and comfort and compassion caring for socioeconomically disadvantaged patients.
