Responsibilities :
- Provide social emotionalrelated support through theSchoolBased Mental Health Grant.
- Utilizeknowledge of human behavior social cultural and communityinfluences to help create a positive learning climate.
- Connect community school and home resources to ensure acomprehensive system of support aimed at students’optimal functioning within the academic program.
Qualifications :
- Current and valid state of Illinois Professional EducatorLicense with an endorsement in school social work.
- Masters of Social Work from an accredited educationalinstitution.
- Knowledge of current federal andstate laws rules and regulations.
- Ability todevelop IEP goals for students and to provide social emotionalsupport through services and interventions aligned with ISBEsSocial Emotional Learning (SEL) standards.
- Ability to conduct assessments for determining the socialemotional and behavior needs of students.
- Experience conducting social development studiesfunctional behavior assessments and developing behaviorintervention plans.
- Bilingual (Spanish)preferred.
