Responsibilities
- Perform mammography exams and ensure high-quality imaging results.
- Operate and maintain mammography equipment and digital imaging systems.
- Assist radiologists in the interpretation of mammographic images.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
- Follow established protocols and guidelines for mammography imaging.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using Radiology Information Systems.
- Perform quality control checks on equipment and images.
- Educate patients on the mammography process and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in mammography technology and techniques.
- Participate in continuing education and training programs to maintain certification and skills.
Requirements :
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- 0-3 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography.
- Proficiency in operating mammography equipment and digital imaging systems.
- Familiarity with Radiology Information Systems and electronic medical records.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
