Amazon Web Services is looking for highly talented and technical consultants to help accelerate our growing Professional Services business.

Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed about strong success for the Customer.

Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.

It is expected to work from one of the above locations (or customer sites) at least 1+ days in a week. This is not a remote position.

You are expected to be in the office or with customers as needed.

This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.

You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions.

You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create truly innovative solutions built on AWS.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
• 3+ years of design / implementation / consulting experience with distributed applications or equivalent education experience
• 1+ years of software development tools and methodologies
• Experience implementing information systems aligned with the Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guidance
• Technical degree or equivalent experience
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT implementation experience
• 2+ years of programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object oriented language experience
• Experience and technical expertise (design and implementation) in cloud computing technologies
• Experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands-on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience
• Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as DoD Risk Management Framework, Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide, (JSIG), FISMA and FedRAMP.
• Attainment of DOD 8570-approved certifications for technical Information Assurance roles.
• Experience using Typescript, Python, Cloud Formation, and / or Terraform to implement cloud-based systems.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,200 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,300 / year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
