About The Position
Job Title : RN - Oncology Job Specialty : Surgical Urology Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8 hours, 5 days per week Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum 1 year required License : Current RN License from the State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC) Certifications : - Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) from the American Heart Association Must-Have : - Urology Nursing Experience- Catheter Management - Oncology Nursing Experience - Proficient in Patient Care Job Description : Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex under supervision.
Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments;
note all changes in physician orders.- Assist physicians during examinations of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene as needed.- Administer medication as prescribed.
- Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.- Deliver competent patient care.- Interact with family and patients to share care plans during hospitalization and discharge.
- Inform patients and families of hospital procedures.- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff.- Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Education : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or higher) from a Board Approved Program.
Languages : Proficiency in English (Read, Write, Speak)
